Q. My husband received this Red Cross medal from a friend. We don’t know anything about it, but we think it might be from around 1920 and was attached to a car. Does anybody know more or for sure?

It didn’t ring a bell with me, but editor Angelo VanBogart sent your query on to John. He replied: “Very cool! This is, indeed, a vehicle marker from the Red Cross Motor Corps, a female-operated branch of the Red Cross that was active in the United States beginning in World War I up through World War II. There were chapters set up across the United States in various large cities.”
