THERE’S NOTHING LIKE A lockdown, coinciding with the weather beginning to cool off, to encourage a multitude of people indoors and onto their trainers. In the past, trainers have been the domain of the wholly-committed cyclist who is willing to put up with loud and ungainly machines and relying on sheer strength to push through a training session. In contrast, the modern trainer setup up should be relatively quiet, easy to set up and a cinch to connect into a virtual world such as Zwift. In fact, during April this year, Zwift recorded as many as 35,000 people on the platform at one time (as recorded by Zwiftinsider.com). Huge.
