Two young lions and four lionesses walked straight towards me when I visited the reserve in early March this year. It’s not every day you see lions walking next to each other like this.

A string of satellites
My wife Antoinette and I recently stayed at one of the Eagle’s Nest chalets at Klein-Aus Vista in southern Namibia. I set up my camera to take photos of the Milky Way around 8 pm one evening and when I looked up, I saw a satellite. I called my wife over and we realised there wasn’t only one – there were three in a row. I left my camera shutter open
