Motor Show memories II

Dear ClassicAmerican, Hope you are keeping safe and well - I thoroughly enjoyed reading the recent ClassicAmerican magazines. The pictures of American cars at the Motor Show sparked memories of the Motor Show special magazines that I used to collect as a child and dreamt of owning the fabulous American cars featured in them. In the late Seventies I saw advertised in the Manchester Evening News a one-owner Pontiac Parisienne for £650, sold my Cortina GT and promptly purchased the Pontiac. I was assured it was a Motor Show car, who knows - but seeing that picture in your magazine made me smile at the thought. Vivienne my wife was my girlfriend then, sadly the Pontiac and my hair have long gone!
