COWABUNGA!

Maurice Sendak had done nothing in his life we would agree that his was an exceptional contribution. The sublime artwork, the taut narrative, the ability to speak directly to children in a visual language: Masterful. Of course, Sendak gave us much more, including “Moo-Reese,” the tabletop cow sculpture hand drawn and painted by Sendak and his associate Lynn Caponera in 2000 as part of the Cow Parade staged in New York, Chicago and Zurich. And since June is National Dairy Month, we thought it apt to share Sendak’s “moo-ving” work, which sold for $93,750 at auction. Holy cow!
