Riders could soon be training together in pairs and teams again at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, after British Cycling began a successful return to individual training last week.
In a carefully choreographed restart that had been months in the planning, last Tuesday saw nine sprinters, four endurance riders and two BMX riders return to the centre, accompanied by 13 staff including a Covid-19 officer and BC’s head of medical.
The sessions, which included big sprint efforts on the track and heavy weights in the gym, was run under the government’s level-one elite sport
