Inspired to inspire others
sing the garden as his metaphor, work focuses mainly on the period when a garden or landscape is was inspired by the beautiful koi pond that belongs to some of his good friends. The orange swirls are meant to represent the flowing fins and tails of the many Japanese koi that live in the pond and the gentle waterfall is represented abstractly in the stripe of green dripping paint. “Then there is the beautiful shade of blue-green water which I chose as the backdrop to bring all these representations together,” he adds. “The pond also attracts many dragonflies and butterflies and is surrounded by interesting bonsai and a variety of plants.” Quade has been painting for the past 25 years and is located in the historic Highlands in Denver. Today, his works are represented by Walker Fine Art in Denver and Winterowd Fine Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
