“I first heard about Slipknot at Roadrunner’s New York office. Sepultura was going through a difficult time reorganising everything after Max left, and Slipknot sounded like the future of metal to me. It was clear the influence Sepultura and Pantera had on their early works; I felt a little bit a part of that future as well.
“Later I had the opportunity to see them live and to meet them too, especially Paul and Joey. We worked together at the Roadrunner United concert celebrating 25 years of the label. For two weeks we worked in a studio with Dino Cazares and Roy Mayorga; it was a blast. Between me and Paul it was a cool musical chemistry and we even talked about doing a band or a project after the concert
