Note perfect across the pond

CHRISTIE’S NEW YORK organised an online sale of British and European furniture and works of art from April 28 to May 7. It was suitably wide-ranging, with silver and porcelain to the fore, and it seems to have been well received.

Among the things I was interested to see offered in it were a pair of verre églomisé pictures, a harp and a micromosaic table, the first two of which sold well beyond their estimates.
