10-stop problems

Keen to try out some 10-stop neutral-density filter images, I viewed about 20 YouTube videos on the subject. It all sounded so simple. Set your camera on a tripod, take a shot to focus, then switch your camera to manual focus before fitting your filter. Then work out the correct exposure before taking your shot.

I have both a screw-fit ND filter and a set of Cokin slot-in ones. Whichever I use, my shots invariably come out blurred. No matter how careful I am in fitting a filter, the autofocus setting always moves from its position. Not one of the tutorial videos I watched made any mention of this. My
