Ross Valory is countersuing Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain following his dismissal from Journey. Bassist Valory and drummer Steve Smith were sacked over claims they had attempted to seize control of the group’s name. Valory calls the allegations “baseless” and “outrageous”, insisting that the original suit was based on “a misunderstanding".

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with the medical expenses, the Quiet Riot drummer who last year was diagnosed with stage-four pancreatic cancer. At press time the campaign had raised just over half of its target of $10,000.
