AROUND twenty years back, American rodder George Christ relocated from Washington State to Whangarei, New Zealand, bringing with him his way-cool ‘46 Chevy coupe with a chopped top and a smallblock capable of high-13s. He soon got involved in the local scene, taking in rod runs, and stretching its legs on Meremere’s Champion’ strip.
In 2007, George drove the ‘46 from Whangarei to Christchurch for the Pre’49
