Willamette Writers Conference

Willamette Writers Conference director Kate Ristau saw immediately – as the coronavirus pandemic began to postpone or shut down events across the world – that she and her staff needed to come up with an innovative way to keep their beloved Portland, Oregon, event, now in its 51st year, up and running.

With that goal in mind, they decided to plan both an in-person and virtual conference in August. If Oregon’s social distancing rules are lifted
