Natalie Wood’s Mysterious death

Mystery has long surrounded the death of actress Natalie Wood, who drowned while out on her husband Robert Wagner’s 55ft (16m) yacht, Splendour, on November 29, 1981.

Following an evening of dining off Catalina Island in California, the 43-year-old boarded a dinghy and headed to the large vessel for a leisurely cruise along with Wagner, Wood’s co-star Christopher Walken and the captain, Dennis Davern. According to investigators’ reports, Wood – widely and – headed to her cabin at about 10.45pm, only for Wagner to later discover she and the dinghy were missing. The next day, her body was found; the coroner ruling her death a tragic accident.
