Ask your doctor: If you sit too much, it’s bad for you. The same is true for old cars. No matter how beautiful, rare, and/or valuable, old cars need to get out and drive or they’ll slowly die of neglect. A coveted opportunity to do so exists in the Reliable Carriers Eight Flags Road Tour, which took to the roads near Amelia Island two days before the 2020 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
While static shows like the concours are an opportunity to look over cars in detail, nothing beats using them as intended. The sights and sounds of old cars in motion brought locals and tourists alike flocking to the route, eager to see these ancient and honored automobiles automobiling.
