That’s the first thing she said when she heard her number one idol in the whole world wanted to remix the song that had put her firmly on the music stage.

But it was true: Beyoncé – the queen herself – had asked to collaborate on a jigged-up version of Savage. And Megan Thee Stallion could barely breathe.

“It seemed like a dream,” the 25-year-old rump-shaking rapper told Apple Music host Ebro Darden.

“But in the back of my head I just always knew that at some point in my life, I had to do a song with Beyoncé.”
