IN MY OWN SKIN
Slipping into my swimming costume, my face burned with embarrassment. Just outside the bathroom, my friends were chattering with excitement, ready for an afternoon at the beach.
For me, though, even at just seven years old, I was so self-conscious.
I stared in disgust at the huge red flaky patches of skin that covered my exposed arms and legs.
