THANK heavens for what Rupert Brooke described as: ‘The cool kindliness of sheets that soon smooth away trouble; and the rough male kiss of blankets.’ Because, although that-which-shall-not-be-named is playing merry hell with my sleep patterns, at least my tossing and turning takes place in a large, comfortable bed.
