Materials
• 20cm (¼yd) white tone-on-tone print fabric
• 75cm (⅞yd) gold tone-on-tone print fabric
• 1.5m (1⅝yd) black with gold print fabric
• 2.6m (2⅞yd) black print fabric
• 1.65m (1¾yd) grey tone-on-tone print fabric
• 4.8m (5¼yd) backing fabric
• Batting at least 225cm x 200cm (92in x 78in)
• Large quilter’s 60° triangle ruler (optional) – see Sheila’s Triangle Ruler Tips
• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• Sewing machine with ¼in foot
• General sewing supplies
Cutting
From the white tone-on-tone print fabric, cut:
• one strip, 6.in x width of fabric. Cross cut five 60° triangles. , place the ruler with the 6½in line on the bottom edge of the strip. (The tip of the ruler will extend past the top of the strip.) Cut on both sides of the ruler. , place the ruler with the 6¾in, cut your strips 6.in wide. Then align one of the 60° lines printed on the ruler with the bottom edge of the strip. Make a cut. Rotate the ruler to align the 60° line with the top edge of the strip, with the edge of the ruler at the point where the first cut was made. Make a cut.
