verything starts with . We’re talking Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the 60s. I had two older sisters that had all the 45s and they’d play them and I’d jump up and down in my crib yelling, ‘The Bees, The Bees!’ When I got a little older I discovered , and then I really got into the more psychedelic stuff, , which was an explosion of sound. In the early 70s, at 11/12 years old, I got into AM radio. We had one in the car and that’s when I heard . I had a birthday coming up and one of my sisters said, ‘What do you want for birthday gift?’ and I go, ‘I don’t know,’ to which she says, ‘Well that has on it []?’ So that was the first record for me that started my collection.
