Aside from stuff like the colour of their gums and capillary refill time, which give an indication of healthy blood count and circulation, he will have checked for normal ‘occlusion’, which will require comparing the length of the maxilla (upper jaw) relative to the mandible (lower jaw) and having a good look at the teeth. I am delighted to hear your vet was so careful, as I am often disappointed to find abnormalities in pups that have apparently already been ‘vet checked’.
