ELECTRONIC IGNITION CONVERSION
I need some advice. I own a 1984 Toyota Corolla RWD with the 1,6 (2T) engine that is still using points (and a condenser) which have to be set regularly. Would it be feasible to replace the points with an electronic system? If so, where can these kits be purchased and how do the kits work?

Conversion to electronic ignition is very simple if you buy the correct kit for the engine. Basically, it is a plug-and-play system which takes the place of the points and condenser:
• Remove the distributor cap.
• Remove the points and condenser.
