COVID-19 and EmComm

Traditionally, ham radio emergency communications has primarily been about helping our neighbors in the broader community in times of need. The COVID-19 pandemic is adding a new dimension to our public service and emergency work — helping each other in the ham radio community. This month, we share some examples of how hams are using their skills and equipment to provide much needed help, even when the standard communications infrastructure is functioning well, and the needed skills extend beyond using a transceiver and antenna.
