have been watching . The competition was won by Christabel Blackburn – a London-based artist whose prize was a £10k commission to paint Nile Rodgers. The winning portrait is now hanging in the Royal Albert Hall. The portrait also includes Niles’ famous white Fender Strat and, for me, that is where the problem arises. I realise that the drawing of the guitar is not a photo and, to a degree, is stylised. However, the black dot markers on the Strat in the portrait are on frets 4, 6, 8, 10 and 13 [rather than 3, 5, 7, 9 and 12 in reality] and that
