AS a child, I couldn’t afford a pony of my own, but having a part-time job at Corrour House trekking centre near Aviemore meant I could afford a Horse & Hound every week. I’d dream that one day I would ride like David Broome and Harvey Smith, have beautiful bespoke stables and maybe even buy a Lambourn horse lorry.
