SHOOTING DAY BY DAY

For James, it all started back on the family farm. “I’ve been around shooting for as long as I can remember,” he says. “I grew up watching my father shoot game and eventually picked up a shotgun myself when I was eight. I started with a little .410 at our local shooting club, where my father would pick out the easy stands for me to have a go at. Though I would only shoot at half a dozen targets on each stand, I was mega keen. I’d spend all week daydreaming about being back behind the trigger. Every time I shot I wanted to shoot a couple of new targets before going home again.
