Having been to the first European Bug In (EBI), way back in 2007, I’d never managed to make the trip again; the show is held every other year, so 2019 was the 8th edition. As Bad Camberg is also held every four years, 2019 was one of the years when both shows are held, just one week apart. Earlier in the year, I’d decided that I’d get my ’71 Bay Window on the road in time to go to both shows and holiday in the Bus in the week between the shows. Various circumstances meant that, as June rolled around, I still hadn’t got the Bus anywhere near to being on the road, so I’d pretty much resigned myself to sitting 2019 out.
