It was ol’ blue eyes himself who said of New York, that if he could make it there, he could make it anywhere. And whilst he may, or may not have had connections with the mob to help him out (he definitely did), he was certainly right about New York being a tough old place to live. It’s baking hot in the summer, Baltic in the winter, the people are, well, they’re New Yorkers so are a tough crowd and have you ever tried driving there? Suffice to say, you see a lot of banged up cars smoking around the Big Apple and for that reason alone, we don’t tend to come across many VWs that originate from the Empire State.
