‘The Jackpot!’

Editor’s Note: Ed Barrett’s stunning 1965 Corvette has an amazing back story, and the Nashville, Tenn., resident has gone to great lengths to trace the many twists and turns the car has taken. We figured there is nobody better suited to tell the tale than Barrett himself, so here is the story of his fabulous ’65, in his own words.

The car was built on July 23, 1965, in St. Louis, Mo. It is an A.O. Smith-built body, 327/300, air-conditioned, four-speed car.
