9 SPRING CAR CARE TIPS

In 2017, we drove a 1917 Oakland over the 400-mile Wisconsin section of the Yellowstone Trail to raise funds for blind and disabled children to attend the Lion’s Club summer camp in Rosholt, Wis. The car was one that had not been used for years, and most of the work we did to get it going again involved normal spring maintenance items.

Many owners of vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles take pride in owning a well-maintained and dependable vehicle that can travel or tour without breaking down. In preparing for the Oakland tour, we learned that proper maintenance procedures remain relatively simple even on a 100-year-old car. And spring is a great time of year to get a car ready for touring with a maintenance checklist.
