In the beginning, I never even wanted to meet the man I ended up marrying!
As a single mum at 31, men were off the menu, and all my focus was on my four-year-old daughter Emily.

My cousin Chelsea was round one night when he texted, asking again if we could meet up.
Leaving him hanging, I nipped to the loo.
But when I returned, Chelsea had something to tell me.
‘He’s coming round!’ she chimed.
