Cell tray or seed tray?

Aseed tray is just a shallow opentopped box a couple of inches deep. Originally wood but now usually made of plastic, it’s filled with multi-purpose or seed-and-cuttings compost, and seeds are sowed either broadcast (scattered over the surface) or spaced precisely in rows. A little compost is scattered over the surface, it’s watered and then placed in a warm, bright spot to encourage germination. Open seed trays come in various sizes, but most are roughly A4, with smaller ones available.
Benefits of cell trays
Cell trays are A4 blocks of evenly spaced small modules or cells.
