Togetherness

In spite of the chaos and collapse of the ‘outer world’ it was heartwarming to be ‘in’ Practical Boat Owner again.

It’s good to read PBO: many of its writers are people I have valued for years – but the current PBO is not all about us older, archaic sailors.

The article ‘Drunk at the Helm’ (May 2020), draws attention to a sometimes problem. I was once with my girls the only sober group on the Schooner Yacht America in Trinidad (1974). So we took over the steering and dropped anchor safely in a suitable spot.
