There is a saying that you can spend ages waiting for a bus and then three arrive at once. In 1984, prolific Commodore 64 coder Tony Crowther decided to apply it to train games, producing Loco, Suicide Express and Black Thunder all within the space of six months. “I did it on a whim, I suppose,” grins Tony. “Some of my old mates from Alligata said I ought to go back to Loco which I’d done for them and I thought, ‘Yeah, maybe I could do better now…’”
