Open for the first time to works on all sized canvases by artists aged 16 and up, a record 214 entries were on show and available to purchase at the ArtStart event, held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales during Art Month Sydney. The judging panel comprised Kerry Armstrong, artist and founder of Studio Gallery; Kate Alstergren, director and curator of Studio Gallery; interior designer Greg Natale; Michael Reid, director of Michael Reid Gallery; Rhianna Walcott, associate director of Artereal Gallery and member of the Art Month Sydney board of directors; Tanya Buchanan, editor-in-chief of ; and ’s editor Gavin Kirk and deputy editor Harry Roberts.
