in throwaway objects, collecting, arranging and photographing them in, a quietly impactful work that reconsiders domestic detritus as a cityscape in miniature, enlivened by intersecting geometries, appealing earthy tones and washes of subtly realised light and shade. “This piece focuses on the discarded and unwanted, the ever-increasing detritus in the pursuit of the new, objects that are no longer loved so abandoned by their previous owners,” says Jane. “By capturing collected subjects in a new space, I seek to give them new value and a stage to continue living on.”
