I’d never considered taking a cruise with my girlfriends. To be honest, I thought cruises were designed for empty-nesters or busy parents looking for a fun club to entertain the kids.

But when the opportunity came up to join Carnival Splendor’s five-night ‘girlfriends getaway’ from Sydney to Tasmania, I was excited to share the experience with my big sister Melanie.
