ANA National Money Show Attendance Rounds Out February

While my involvement with the American Numismatic Association’s annual World’s Fair of Money anniversary conventions has been uninterrupted since 1971 in Washington, my first having been in 1961 at Atlanta, with absence from the 1970 event in St. Louis being my only break in continuity over the past 59 years, not so where the National Money Show (NMS) events are concerned, the first of which was held in 1978 in Colorado Springs. My first NMS did not come until 1980 in Albuquerque, the second event, with my subsequent attendance having been sporadic at best through the years. Since partaking of the 2013 event in New Orleans towards the end of my previous six years (2007-2013) of ANA board service, I’ve attended only the 2015 Portland and 2019 Pittsburgh renewals prior to this year.

Having returned to the ANA board this past August at the 128th anniversary convention, with the past two NMS events now back under my belt, I’m back on at least a short run of NMS involvements going forward. My only long attendance run was probably back from 2005 in
