1 Since February, fresh fruit and vegetable deliveries have been appearing at low-decile schools in 21 regions all over the country. The government-funded initiative, which is managed by United Fresh and supported by the 5+ A Day Charitable Trust, will give out 25 million servings of fresh fruit and vegetables this year. A 2018 evaluation reported that the school-based programme had heartening flow-on effects at home, with 76% of parents surveyed saying their child ate more produce thanks to Fruit in Schools
