Flicking through the newspaper, my mum Sheila eyed the latest crossword.
It was November 2015, and Mum was 78.
She’d always been a fan
of The Times crossword.
But today, as she set to work on the questions…
‘I’m not sure,’ she mumbled, looking bemused.
‘Let me help,’ I suggested. In the past, Mum wouldn’t have had any bother, or stumbled at a single clue.
