Red squirrels are one of the most popular wildlife subjects in the UK, thanks to their photogenic nature. This image was taken in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The super-shallow depth of field allows the subject to pop against the earthy background. The pink flowers to the left of the subject add a welcome burst of colour and help to balance this wholesome wildlife image.
