Amateur and pro astro activities

Our region’s two major amateur astronomy conferences are only one and two months away, respectively, being the National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers () — to be held in Parkes, NSW, on April), to be held in Wellington on May 8–10. Both events will see many experienced (and novice) amateurs gather to share their knowledge and experience through presentations and workshops, and meet up with friends old and new. If you’ve not been to either event and you have the opportunity to go, you won’t be disappointed if you turn up and take part.
