RADIAL racing in Australia continues to go from strength to strength, supported by quality events like the Kenda Tires 660 Series, and the undisputed king of radials in this country is Queenslander Wade Wagstaff, pilot of a ballistic Noonan-powered 1957 Chev.

Wade ran a best of 3.79@196mph at Lights Out in the USA last year, with his quickest time in Australia being a 3.82@197mph (the current Aussie radial record), which he ran at the Kenda round in September 2019 at Willowbank. He has since backed that up with 3.84@198mph at the recent Kenda 660 event at Sydney
