A SINGLE ’57 Chev is enough to turn heads on the street, so imagine the neck-snapping going on at the Carralbyn Eighth-Mile Drag Racing Display, where punters thrilled to the sight of 100 pre-1968 hot rods, rat rods, gassers and dragsters racing on an airstrip.
Held over the last weekend of February, the second annual Carralbyn drags saw gearheads from all corners of the country converge in the Kooralbyn Valley, about 100 kays south of Brisbane, for a nostalgic three-day race-fest.
