Whether you prefer adventurous activities or a relaxing and tranquil break, there's plenty of choice when you tour in a motorhome!

Superb staycations

It tends to be a bit easier to be greener in your own country than it is abroad, because you will know where to buy environmentally friendly food, products and souvenirs.

You can shop from ethical companies, and you will already be aware of how to recycle things once you’ve finished with them.

In addition, a staycation can be much cheaper than a big trip abroad. Think of all the money you’ll save and use it to treat yourself to a great experience instead.

Sometimes a staycation can be as simple as chilling out on the site. Read that book, learn a new skill, or perhaps just relax and enjoy the surroundings, rather than driving to see the local sights.

Take care and save

When you drive, do so carefully and sensibly – stick to the speed limits, don’t accelerate excessively and use your gears wherever possible to avoid violent braking. Ensure your ’van is in top condition and check tyre pressures and brakes regularly.

Find alternative routes to avoid traffic hold-ups if at all possible. Check your fuel consumption manually each time you fill up, and don’t rely on the figures given by your onboard
