Matthew Maran is the proof that a professional wildlife and landscape photographer does not have to live in more distant, open countryside to make a living. As a photographer focused on local wildlife and the landscape, what subjects will you be focusing on this spring?
This year will be the fourth year of photographing foxes close to home. It’s an exciting time of year because spring is when the cubs are born and that’s when you see a lot of activity with the vixen and dog fox taking food back to the den! There’s also the possibility of seeing a cub come out of the den for the first time.

You live in North London, where will you be photographing?
