MN’S TOP 10 MOST PROMISING DRIVERS FOR THE 2020 SEASON

The United Kingdom’s national racing scene has a proud record of developing drivers’ motorsport careers, helping them right the way to the top.

Some of its graduates have made it even to Formula 1; there are also plenty who have go on to top-level endurance and GT racing as well as the high-profile British Touring Car Championship.

But who among the 2020 crop might be the next success stories?

We have picked out 10 racing in the national categories this season that Motorsport News readers should keep an eye out for as the stars of tomorrow. They will be the ones making the headlines in the future.

Bryce Aron

Championship: National Formula Ford 1600

Formula Ford squad Cliff Dempsey Racing has considerable credentials in helping promising American single-seater talent on its way, working in conjunction with Jeremy Shaw’s scholarship scheme. The alumni includes two-time IndyCar champion Josef Newgarden, and this year the team fields two more teenagers from stateside in the National FF1600 championship, with Grant Palmer being joined by Bryce Aron.

Aron, who finished third in last year’s US F1600 championship, has already made a start to his UK FF1600 racing, as less than a month after his 16th birthday he took on last autumn’s Formula Ford Festival
