Sitting on the sofa, I sighed to my husband Andrew, now 38.
‘She keeps holding in her wee,’ I exhaled. It was September 2015, and we were potty training our little girl Evie, then two.
Compared to when we potty trained our son Oscar, then five, it was a lot more difficult.
‘Come on sweetie, it’s just a wee,’ I smiled, trying to lure Evie to the potty.
But nothing would make her go to the toilet.
Over the following six weeks, Evie started showing signs that she was unwell.
She felt very lethargic, had a high temperature and was vomiting often.
