Belonging. It’s a simple word with a mountain of meaning. You know how it goes, you work hard and belong to a certain industry or profession, you have kids and belong to a parents and citizens organisation. Then you retire, work connections disappear, the kids move out to live their lives and chase adventures, and you’re left with time on your hands.
