KATHERINE JENKINS STRIKES A CHORD WITH FANS AS HOME CONCERT IS A STREAMING SUCCESS
She is used to singing in sold-out venues, but singer Katherine Jenkins was the ultimate solo artist as she performed a special live-streamed concert from home for a locked-down audience around the globe.
“I thought that, seeing as the pubs and clubs and restaurants are closed, you’re probably all at home and maybe you needed some entertainment,” she said in a video on Facebook. “So here I am. I thought I’d do a little Saturday night concert for you.”
Singing some of her favourites and aiming to keep spirits as high as the notes she delivered, Katherine responded to some of the comments that flooded in, remarking: “Gosh, there’s lots of you watching, thank you so much. I’m so happy to be here. Thank you for keeping me company.”
Watching in person at their home in London were her husband Andrew Levitas and their four-year-old daughter Aaliyah, who Katherine described as “my rent-a-crowd”. The mother of two added that the couple’s 23-month-old son Xander was in bed.
